Nancy Jean Hamilton, age 64, of Painted Post passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at her home.  Nancy was born on December 12, 1946 in Corning, the daughter of the late Ellsworth Allen and Ida M. (Quick) Hamilton.

Nancy attended Corning East High School and worked in a number of positions at Corning Inc., retiring in 2009 with 35 years of service.

She is survived by two sons: Howard Perry of Inverness, FL, Dana A. Perry of Vero Beach, FL; her mother Ida M. Peacock of Bath, NY; one brother: Roger (Mary) Hamilton of Campbell, NY;  and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s name be directed to the Finger Lakes SPCA, Hammondsport Road, Bath, NY 14810.  Arrangements are with Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 East Pulteney Street in Corning.
