Mary Sharon (Sherry) Phillips, 74, of Pine Mountain passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at her home after an extended illness.Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 25, 2021, at First United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain with Rev. Kaylen Short officiating.

Sherry was born April 3,1947 in Hornell, NY, the daughter of Howard R. Herrick and Winifred McCarthy Herrick. She grew up in upstate New York and graduated from East High School, Corning, NY. Following high school she attended Corning Community College. Sherry worked in several office positions before moving to Harris County where she began employment as clerk of the Harris County Probate Court from which she retired in 2010. She attended First United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain. She was a member of United Methodist Women and the Chipley Woman's Club and was a former volunteer at FOCUS. Sherry had a love for dogs and adopted and cared for many. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. With her husband, Bob, she loved to travel both domestically and abroad. Their travels included destinations in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Herrick. Survivors include her husband, Bob Phillips of Pine Mountain; two aunts, Agnes Fogarty of Corning, NY, and Mildred Weeks (Norman) of Red Creek, NY; and several cousins, including Janet Bauer (Joe) of Belmont, MA and Mary Lou Kimball (Jack) of Groton, NY and Ft. Pierce, FL.
