Georgianna Howlett (Williams)

Georgianna Howlett (Williams)

Georgianna Williams

On Saturday, April 25, 2015, Georgianna Williams completed her journey on this plane. While here, she was born to Anna (Coleson-Howlett) Rarrick and Richard Rarrick in Corning, NY. She was a 1965 graduate of Corning-Painted Post East High School. After school, she began her career at Ingersoll-Rand, married John Williams, survived the flood (pregnant) and raised her daughter, Stephanie. Some activities she enjoyed aside from being a mother were softball, bowling, dancing and as time marched on coaching Cinderella Softball.

She retired from The Rand in order to spend more time with her grandchildren. Since retiring she has taken on the opportunity to volunteer at her grandchildren's schools, attend their sporting activities, concerts and academic achievements. She also has taken the opportunity to travel with family and friends. Georgianna had two passions, outside of her family, that spanned both her working and retirement years; she loved animals and shopping, and shopping for stuff for animals. While working and in retirement she adopted several rescue animals herself and was responsible for housing or humane care of many others (including putting a live deer in her car, now that's passion!)

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Williams and David Peck, her grandchildren, Dana and John, her sisters and brother,

Jeanette (David) Goebel of Webster, NY; Mary Colburn of Painted Post, NY; Richard Rarrick of Painted Post, NY, and Peggy (Ed) Allen of Corning, NY; her friend through marriage, Jackie Williams of Corning, NY; her dog and cat, Shar and Lucky, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by and now reunited with her parents, Anna and Richard Rarrick, her biological father, George Howlett, her sister, Rose Atkins, her brother, Michael Rarrick, her nieces, Renee and Rhonda Billington. She was also predeceased by her ex-husband, John Williams.

Calling hours will be Saturday, May 2 from 4-7 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street, Corning, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, May 4th at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street,
