Julia R. Falzone, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2nd, surrounded by her family. Julie was born on September 12th, 1947 to Rocco and Delphine (Meconi) Pierri in Corning, New York. She grew up surrounded by a very large extended Italian family of cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Southern Tier. After graduating from Corning Community College, she moved to Rochester NY pursuing a career at Kodak. Julie married Jim Falzone in 1969 and enjoyed over 55 years of love, laughter, and family together. She held several jobs until her retirement in 2009 including being a stay-at-home mom for many years raising her two children. Family made Julie happiest especially the babies in the family. In the months leading up to her passing, she found joy in holding and playing with her infant niece and nephews. She will always be remembered for her gracious kindness, sharp wit, and infectious smile.
Julie is survived by her husband, Jim; her son, Jay; her grandson, Jimmy; her son-in-laws, Stephen Smith and Richard Hilliard; her brother, David; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Laura; her grandson, Jackson; her nephew, Christopher; and many family members in both Corning and Rochester, New York.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM SATURDAY March 22, 2025 at St. Marianne Cope Parish (2061 East Henrietta Rd., Roch., NY 14623) where a reception will follow Mass.
