
John P. Walk, age 69, of Corning, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Absolut Care at Three Rivers in Painted Post, NY after an extended illness.
John was born on May 16, 1947 in Corning to John and Helen (Draus) Walk. He was a graduate of Corning painted Post East High School and Alfred University (or State SUNY). He was a self-employed flooring installer in the greater Corning area for many years.
John was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, he especially enjoyed shooting skeet at a number of area clubs.
He is survived by one brother, Michael (Pamela) Walk of Horseheads; nephew, Jeffrey Walk of Grass Valley, CA; niece, Michelle (DJ) Robinson of Hilton, NY; several cousins; a grandniece and a grandnephew.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at 2:00 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First Street, Corning, NY. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Corning.
